CLASS OF 2024 END OF YEAR ACTIVITIES GUIDE

A copy of the Class of 2024 End of Year Activities Guide was mailed to each senior's home address on April 12, 2024.  The following content was included in the mailing.

INFORMAL GROUP PHOTO - APRIL 25

All seniors should plan on reporting to the high school at 7:25 a.m. on April 25, 2024, for a group photo for newspaper publication.

RECORDS RELEASE AND FUTURE PLANS - DUE MAY 3

All seniors are required to complete the google form titled “Records Release and Future Plans” no later than May 3. This form is very important !!! Final Transcripts will be mailed out in June based on the college listed on this form.

Senior Breakfast - RSVP DUE MAY 8

Monday, May 20—7:45 a.m.

A special "Senior Appreciation Breakfast" will be held on May 20 beginning at 7:45 a.m. in the high school cafeteria. There is no cost involved for seniors, but reservations will be needed in order to complete planning and proper ordering of food items for this event.

SENIOR SUNSET - MAY 17

May 17, 7:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m. The Senior Sunset will take place on May 17 at the FUHS East overflow parking area.  Join us for food, fun and fellowship.

Cap and Gown Distribution Date-May 20

Seniors will receive their caps & gowns at Mandatory Graduation Practice day, May 20. The caps & gowns were ordered by the senior adviser and paid for from the senior class fund.

MANDATORY GRADUATION REHEARSAL - MAY 20

Mandatory Rehearsal will be held on Monday, May 20 from 8:30 a.m. until approximately noon. IF YOU PLAN TO PARTICIPATE IN THE GRADUATION SERVICE ON MAY 26, YOU MUST BE AT PRACTICE ON MAY 20 AT THE TIME LISTED ABOVE!  Do not ask to leave early or arrive late for practice. If you have a job, request that morning off early to avoid potential conflicts.

CAREER CENTER STUDENTS/CAPS & GOWNS

If you are participating in the FUHS ceremony, you will need to be at practice on May 20 with your cap, gown, tassel and hood. If you are not participating in our ceremony you will need to do the following:

• Notify Mr. Thompson in writing by May 15 that you are NOT participating.

Those participating in the Career Center’s senior ceremony need to notify Mr. Thompson.  Arrangements will be made to deliver your cap and gown to the career center in time for the ceremony.

REQUEST FOR HANDICAPPED PARKING - DUE MAY 24

Names of those persons requiring handicapped parking on graduation day should be turned into Mr. Thompson via google form no later than Friday, May 24.

OTHER IMPORTANT DATES/DEADLINES

May 15—Deadline for all senior fees to be paid. (No checks will be accepted during the month of May.)
May 15 - Senior Chromebook turn in day.
May 17—Last day of attendance for seniors.
May 19—4:00 p.m. Senior Awards Night, by invitation only.
What to Wear with Pictures of Clothes

DRESS & APPEARANCE FOR GRADUATION

Graduation is a semi-formal extra-curricular activity, which will be viewed by over one thousand parents, relatives, and friends.  This activity will also be video taped.  We encourage you to participate in the graduation program; however, you are not required to do so.  If you do not wish to attend graduation, you must submit a signed statement (with parent signature if under age 18) to the class adviser, Mr. Thompson stating your intentions by Wednesday May 15.  In keeping with this formal setting, the following guidelines must be followed in order to participate in this extra-curricular activity:
 
Men: 
Dress Shirt (white if possible), Tie (preferred)
Dark Color Dress Slacks (no jean styles)
Dark Color Socks
Dark Color Dress Shoes (no athletic shoes, sandals, boots or flip flops)
No Sunglasses
 
Women: 
Dress or Dress Slacks (no jean styles) and Top/Blouse
Dress Shoes (no athletic shoes, boots or flip- flops)
No Sunglasses
 
Caps may NOT be decorated.
 
All school policies apply on the day of graduation practice and the day of graduation. Your cooperation will be appreciated in order to best present the Class of 2024.
 

SENIOR GROUP PHOTO & PRESENTATION OF DIPLOMA

Dave Saunders Photography will be at the high school on the graduation rehearsal day to take a senior group picture in your cap and gown. He will also take a presentation of diploma photo at graduation. Order forms were mailed with the Class of 2024 Activity Guide and will be available on May 20, 2024, at mandatory graduation practice.  Printable Order Form-Dave Saunders

GRADUATION—MAY 26

Graduation Ceremony at our traditional time of 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 26 at the Falcon Stadium.  If there is a possibility of inclement weather graduation will be held in the gymnasium.  

Graduate Report Time:  Report time for graduates will be 5:15 p.m.   Report to the shelter house. (In case of inclement weather, meet in the high school cafeteria.)

Indoor Graduation Tickets  - In the event Graduation cannot be held outdoors, seniors will be given eight (8) tickets for guests on their mandatory graduation practice day, May 20.
