These images started as photographic images of everyday objects. Students were encouraged to examine the beauty in everyday objects and then, when found, photograph them. These photographs were then edited using modern digital techniques, so they lost their association/identity as an "everyday object" and stood on their own as interesting artistic images. Students were required to apply the elements and principles of art and design during their digital photo editing.
These images represent a cultural study. Students were tasked with documenting a specific subculture, activity group, or hobby and then use photography to highlight what makes it interesting. Then using photo editing techniques, manipulate/edit these images in interesting ways.
