We are proud to report that Rushville Middle School and Fairfield Union High School have been recognized by the 135th General Assembly of Ohio. This commendation, signed by the President of the Ohio Senate, Matt Huffman, and Tim Schaffer, Senator of the 20th Senatorial District recognizes the Purple Star designation that these schools received in 2023.
The high school and middle school were designated as members of the Purple Star Class of 2023 which shows our commitment to serving students and families connected to the nation’s armed forces. To qualify for this award, each school must designate a staff liaison who will serve to identify military-connected students as well as participate in activities that support the military community.
Military families who have students in our district are encouraged to visit the Military Family Resource Center found on our school website where they can find community resources, discounts for active military personnel and veterans, information on educational resources including College Credit Plus as well as recent events where our community active-duty personnel and veterans have been recognized.
