The Falcons advanced in state tournament action on Monday night with a 3-2 victory over visiting Piketon Redstreaks. Kyle Wolfe pitched his way to a win going 4 2/3 innings giving up 2 runs on 4 hits, 5 walks and 5 strikeouts. Jacob Forson was able to save the win by pitching the last 2 1/3 innings with no runs, no hits and 1 strikeout. Offensively the Falcons were led by Ben Barringer going 2-2 at the plate with an RBI single in the second inning and RBI double in the fifth inning. Angelo Galellla squeezed home pinch runner Jeremiah Johnson for the other run. The Falcons will travel to Unioto on Thursday, May 16 to take on the top seeded Sherman Tanks in the sectional finals at 500 p.m.

FU- 5Athens- 7The Lady Falcons fell a little short in their tournament sectional final game vs Athens. Leading the offense was Addy Wolfe going 3/4 with a two run homerun in the top of the 7th. Taylor Smeck went 2/3 and Ella Harmon went 2/4. Maddi Lanning hit a 2 run homerun in the top of the third.

On Friday, May 3, the Falcons traveled to Chillicothe to take on the Cavaliers. Brady Andrews pitched lights out for 5 innings allowing 0 earned runs, striking out 5 and walking just 2. This allowed the Falcons to build a 9 -1 lead going into the 6th inning behind the offense of Aiden McCafferty, 2-4 , Garrett Dilcher 2-4 and Chase Harmon 2-3 Gage Hammond and Kyle Wolfe both added 2 RBI. The Falcons gave up 5 runs in the 7th inning but held on to win 9-6. Ty Fisher came on in relief.

On Saturday, the Falcons hosted the Silver Knights of Bishop Ready. The Falcons got on the board early with 2 runs in the bottom of the 1st on an RBI double by Garrett Dilcher to score Aiden McCafferty and a single by Gage Hammond to score Dilcher. Aiden McCafferty finished with 2 RBI. Kyle Wolfe pitched 5 strong innings allowing just 3 hits, Gage Hammond pitched the last 2 innings allowing no hits and 1 walk. Final score was 4-0 in favor of the Falcons.
The Falcon baseball team came up short Monday night vs the Hamilton Township Rangers on Senior Night at John Nelson Field. The Rangers defeated the Falcons 5-1. Kyle Wolfe pitched 5 strong innings giving up 4 hits, 4 runs with only one run earned. Garrett Dilcher and Ashton Waldrop pitched in relief. Offensively the Falcons got hits from Ben Baringer, Aiden McCafferty and Gage Hammond drove in the only Falcon run with his single.
